There wasn't much left of UK manufacturing before the Great Brown Recession. However, the slowdown is destroying the last sad outposts. There was a time when the UK was the workshop of the world. Soon, it will all be gone. Our economy will comprise of warehouses, supersized supermarkets, insolvent banks and the public sector.
