Subprime lender charged with insider trading
The SEC civil lawsuit against Angelo Mozillo has provoked a lot of excitement among American bloggers. Countrywide - the lender ran by Mozillo - was perhaps the greatest facilitator of the subprime bubble. Now, its payback time.
Could you imagine the UK regulators - the FSA - making a move on a UK banker?
