Center Manager of the Year - Noemi
We are very excited to announce our 2010 Center Manager of the year, Noemi, from the Grameen America Queens branch. For the last three years Noemi has pushed the program to its limits and her hard work has paid off. In late 2010 she reached a remarkable milestone, becoming the first Center Manager to achieve sustainability within the program through recruiting over 400 Grameen America members. Each of our four branches is on track to be sustainable and Noemi’s breakthrough is a huge step in this direction. Additional Center Managers are slated to follow suit; however, we are elated for Noemi to set the pace!
Noemi’s success is driven by her strong relationship with the borrowers she manages and her dedication to making sure the program runs well. As a result, she has maintained an outstanding 100% repayment rate and a near perfect attendance rate at her center meetings. “The program will continue to succeed because of our ability to organize groups and expand them,” she once said. In her three years with Grameen America she has done just that.

Says Mr. Shah Newaz, CEO of Operations, “She has a great institutional quality and works extremely hard to make sure our program works. I continue to be impressed by her work ethic and dedication to the people she helps”. Mr. Shah isn’t the only one proud of Noemi’s accomplishments; her mother who lives with Noemi in Queens also admires her commitment to the program and likes that she is helping those in need.
Congratulations Noemi! Grameen America is very proud of your accomplishments and look forward to many more in the future!
