The creepy factor : They actually flirted with each other without knowing that both were fake lesbians who were actually straight males.

Biden Staff Keeps Reporter In Closet While They Party

Call me amused.

The White House website proudly says ‘President Obama is committed to creating the most open and accessible administration in American history.’

But try telling Vice President Joe Biden’s staff that, after they held a local reporter in a closet for hours after he was invited to cover a Florida political fundraiser because they did not want him talking with the guests.

As the unaware $500-a-head invitees dined on caprese crostini with oven-dried mozzarella and basil, rosemary flatbread with grapes honey and gorgonzola cheese, grilled chicken Caesar and garden vegetable wraps, veteran reporter Scott Powers was locked away.

The Orlando Sentinel reporter was ushered into the closet inside wealthy property developer Alan Ginsburg’s Winter Falls mansion, after being told that Joe Biden and Senator Bill Nelson had not yet arrived.

They were due to speak to the audience to raise money for the 2012 elections.

The reported was allowed out for 35 minutes when Biden and Nelson spoke, then brought back to his holding closet for the remainder of the event.

Later he received a phone call from Ginsburg, the owner of the mansion, who apologized for the treatment Powers received in his home and claiming he had no idea that Powers had been locked in a closet.

‘He said he was just following their lead and was extremely embarrassed by the whole thing.’

It is reported Biden's staff also emailed an apology to Powers as well.

One guest emailed the paper that reported the story as well:

‘I was in attendance at the Fundraiser and enjoyed a nice lunch.

‘If I had known there was a reporter stuffed in the closet, I would have been compelled to stand up and demand answers.

‘I would also like to know if this is actually legal to treat people like caged animals. I’m disgusted by these actions.’

What makes this especially amusing is this story comes after Obama spokesman Jay Carney was reported to have said the United States is firm in its belief that journalists should be protected and allowed to do their work.

Then again Carney was referring to an Oklahoma journalist in Libya.

Do as I say not as I do moment here I guess.

Northwestern University's After-Class Live Sex Demo

School was different when I was growing up, that is for sure. Consider this your ridiculous item for the day.

More than 100 Northwestern University students watched as a naked 25-year-old woman was penetrated by a sex toy wielded by her fiancee during an after-class session of the school’s popular “Human Sexuality” class.

The woman said she showed up at the Feb. 21 lecture in the Ryan Family Auditorium in Evanston expecting just to answer questions, but was game to demonstrate. The course’s professor on Wednesday acknowledged some initial hesitation, but said student feedback was “uniformly positive.”

And Northwestern defended the class and its professor.

“Northwestern University faculty members engage in teaching and research on a wide variety of topics, some of them controversial and at the leading edge of their respective disciplines,” said Alan K. Cubbage, vice president for University Relations. “The University supports the efforts of its faculty to further the advancement of knowledge.”

Just.... wow.

Joke Of The Day: 'Psych Major' Demands Privacy After Publicly Issuing Sarah Palin Death Wish On Twitter!!

Some people are just too idiotic to find words to describe them.

For those that have a Twitter account and post tweets, we know anything we tweet, even if we remove said tweet, is public, out there, no way to hide what you use in your 140 character allotment.

Well, almost everyone knows that.

The other day it was reported that sick, twisted Twitter users went on a rampage of tweets wishing death upon Sarah Palin in the aftermath of the Arizona shootings when far left liberal bloggers, with no evidence, irresponsibly tried pinning blame for the shooting on Sarah Palin.

Those tweets were caught in a 4 minute video produced and published on YouTube

Legal Insurrection reported yesterday that one of those twitters decided her privacy had been somehow invaded because her public tweet was caught on that video.

Now YouTube is threatening to pull the video because one of the people who sent a tweet has complained that the video violates her privacy.

William A. Jacobson, Associate Clinical Professor, Cornell Law School, who owns the Legal Insurrection blog, sets the idiot straight:

There are two principles at issue. First, there is no expectation of privacy as to death wishes. Second, there is no expectation of privacy on Twitter.

Sorry lady, you'll have to live with the consequences of your Tweet, because even if YouTube takes down the video, we all have screen shots.

YouTube did in fact remove the video, but as Jacobson stated, once it is out there, it is out there (paraphrasing him).

Maybe people should think before they tweet (Hint Hint redheadonfire2).

(It is notable that one of the quotes shown in the video was not a death wish, but was a sarcastic reply to those wishing death on Palin and has set the record straight ) I disagree with her post, conservatism is not dead, the maker of the video simply didn't understand the sarcasm in the rush to compile the death wishes. Unfortunate human error. Hopefully anyone else writing about this will highlight that post consistently whenever showing the video in the name of fairness.

How About An Online Vote On Whether 'Birthornot' Couple Should Be Sterilized

Gawker reports that a Minneapolis couple, Pete and Alisha Arnold are having an online poll decide whether they abort their baby or not.

They'll have two days to make a decision before the 20th week of Alisha's pregnancy ends, and, with it, her last chance to get an abortion. The poll will influence their decision heavily, the couple said by phone this evening, but it won't be binding. "It's kind of like Congress. They might vote for something, but the president has the final veto. If it's overwhelming one way or the other, that will carry a lot more weight."

That someone would do this is almost impossible to believe, of course. We asked the Arnolds if this was some sort of a prank. "No, it's not. We are taking this very seriously," Pete replied. We then asked if this was some sort of convoluted pro-life stunt. Alisha laughed. "It's definitely not a pro-life campaign," she said. "I believe in a woman's right to choose."

My suggestion. This couple should have an online poll on whether these two idiots should be sterilized and rendered unable to ever procreate at all, and they should abide by the decision of the respondents.

In America- Kid Forced To Remove American Flag From Bike By School- Denair Contact Info

[Update 10/15/10]- Little Cody had some company on his return to school with his flag, bikers all proudly waving the flag.

"In this country we're supposed to be free, and I should be able to wave my flag wherever I want to. And they're telling me I can't."--- 13 yr old Cody Alicea

Denair Middle School forced a student, 13-year-old Cody Alicea, to remove the American flag off his bike because they claimed they received complaints about Cody waving the Red, White and Blue and Cody's grandfather says the schools reasoning is concern about concern "about racial tensions or uprisings."

Since when is the American flag, flown in America, some sort of racial issue?



Funny, when I Google Denair Middle School to get some contact information, the site is listed as temporarily unavailable.

After being contacted by FOX40 Friday morning, Denair's Superintendent says Cody will be allowed to keep the flag on his bike. He told FOX40 he and the school are patriotic, but their main priority is keeping students safe; the school will focus on the students who are causing uprisings. Riding a bike is still not allowed on school campus, but when Cody rides his bike to school he can now fly the flag.

Do Democratic Voters Melt In The Rain?

In one of the most ridiculous excuses I have seen preemptively given about the potential Democratic losses in the midterm elections, Wendy Schiller, a political science professor at Brown University in an article at The Hill, takes the cake.

According to Laurel Harbridge, a Northwestern University political science professor, GOP voters are not typically discouraged by rain. “Republicans are helped by bad weather ... it does harm Democratic prospects.”

Wendy Schiller, a political science professor at Brown University, echoed Harbridge. “Bad weather almost always hurts Democrats,” she said. “The traditional Democratic base tends to include lower-income people and the elderly. Both of those demographic groups have a hard time getting to the polls.”

Emphasis mine.

Where the hell has Schiller been over the last few months?

Gallup:

According to the September data, young registered voters favored the Democrats by 55% to 36% over the Republicans -- a 19-percentage-point margin. That was up from 9 points in August, and contrasts with a 12-point advantage for the Republicans in September among seniors (52% to 40%).

Since Republicans are seeing a 12 point advantage with seniors, isn't it contradictory to claim that if it rains on election day, it will hurt Democrats with the senior vote?

I guess in Schiller's twisted reality Republican supporters do not melt in the rain but Democratic supporters do.

Story: Sarah Palin referenced the 1773 Tea Party and members of the far left liberal progressive portion of the Democratic party decided to deride her for her lack of knowledge, it was tweeted, retweeted, reported on and generally the left were having a field day stating that Palin didn't know the date of the Tea Party.

Welllllllllllllllllllllllll, once they actually looked up the Tea Party, you know, using the dandy little thing called a SEARCH ENGINE..... the backtracking began.





But not until dozens of members of the left, starting with Daily Kos founder Markos Moulitsas decided to make complete asses of themselves and humiliating each and everyone that repeated his idiocy.

Jim Treacher is having a field day of his own with the moronic left.

Oh, okay. So she was talking about the modern-day Tea Party movement, and referencing the fact that the original Boston Tea Party was in 1773. Which most American kids learn in grade school, don’t they? Maybe Kos didn’t. Or maybe he just forgot. Or maybe he was too lazy to Google “1773″ and see “Boston Tea Party” right near the top of the results.

Or maybe he wasn’t being a snotty creep who thought Sarah Palin meant 1776 because he doesn’t know the most basic facts about the country he claims to love. Maybe he was genuinely praising her entirely accurate historical reference.

Nah! He’s just a dumb jerk who thought he had a gotcha and it blew up in his smirking face. And he’s not alone. Be sure to check out Cuffy’s post. Giggle Worthy Article Of The Day- Rumor Pelosi Won't Run For Speaker

I actually laughed out loud when I read The Hill's article reporting that a Democratic politician, Rep. Mike McIntyre (D-N.C.), says he "heard" that Nancy Pelosi wouldn't be running for Speaker of the House again if the Democrats retained hold of the majority in the Huose of Representatives.

This is the woman that pushed, pulled, bribed and twisted arms of vulnerable Democrats to pass god awful legislation despite those same politician's constituents being against said legislation (One example- Obamacare)thereby forcing them to jump off a cliff with her.

This is the same Nancy Pelosi that insisted that Obamacare had to be passed so the public could learn what was in it. The same woman that promised to run the most ethical congress ever!!! The same woman that said and I quote "I fully expect to be speaker of the House five weeks from now."

Do these Democratic politicians that swear they will not vote for Pelosi as Speaker if she has the opportunity to run again, really think voters are stupid enough to fall for that line of reasoning?

Does any of them honestly think she would step down for the good of the party?

Even is she would (laughing again here), do they truly think that would save them come November 2, 2010?

Newsflash- Pelosi, while a huge problem, is not the extent of Democratic woes coming into the midterms, she is simply one of the politicians that betrayed the public's trust.

Democrats have had control of the House of Representatives and the Senate for four years and Democrats have had control of the White House for two and the public is damn sick and tired of them.

Obamacare, bank bailouts, auto industry bailouts, corporate bailouts, the stimulus package, an addition of $3 trillion in debt, etc etc etc..... all passed by a Democratically controlled Congress and Senate, as a whole.

They jumped off the cliff with Pelosi and now want someone to hand them a parachute in midair.

Too little, too late.
