According to a cost analysis written by Time's Up! and economist Charlie Komanoff, the city of New York spent approximately $420,000 between August 2004-2006 installing 15 miles of bike lanes in all 5 Boroughs of NYC. During that same time, the City spent over 3 times as much (1.3 million dollars!) supressing two dozen Critical Mass Rides in Manhattan.
