The Versus Network, who will be broadcasting the Tour de France once again this year here, has put together their selection for the Ten Greatest Moments in Tour History, which you can checkout in the video below. With just two days to go until the start of the race, this is a great look back at some of the best historical moments from the greatest cycling race on the planet.
The video is, as you might expect, fairly heavy with Lance Armstrong clips, but then again, Lance did have some very dramatic moments in his seven consecutive tour victories. I won't spoil the list for you, but lets just say I'd have made Eddy Merckx's 1969 victory at number 1. After all, he not only rode into Paris in the Yellow Jersey, he also owned the Green and Polka Dot Jerseys too! That is one impressive feat that will never be equalled.
